Barrel Straightening
|
 |
 |
| The jacket material is first removed to
expose the damage to the barrel. Bolsters and rings are
also inspected once exposed, to assess complete
structural integrity. |
 |
Once in the shop, the barrel is returned to its
original shape. Lateral side supports are welded in
place to provide additional re-enforcement to the
previously damaged area. |
| Once all of the barrel work is complete, new
insulation and jacket material is installed. Conspicuity
is applied, and this tank is ready for work once again. |
